Agganis Arena is a 7,200-seat multi-purpose arena in Boston, Massachusetts. The arena was dedicated in 2004 and hosted its first event in 2005. It is home to the Boston University Terriers ice hockey team. The area serves as a regional auditorium for large events, including ceremonies of other schools such as Berklee School of Music, musicals, awareness events, appearances by speakers such as Barack Obama and Dave Chapelle, and by musical performances which have included Nelly Furtado, The White Stripes, and Avril Lavigne.
